What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. "Similar technologies" include localStorage and sessionStorage — browser-based storage that works the same way for our purposes.
What we use
| Storage key | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
regscope_session |
sessionStorage | Stores your assessment session ID so you can return to your report within the same browser tab after starting an assessment. Cleared when you close the tab. | When browser tab is closed |
We do not use:
- Advertising or tracking cookies
- Third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.)
- Social media pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X)
- Cross-site tracking of any kind
Cloudflare infrastructure
Our platform runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Cloudflare may set a __cf_bm cookie for bot management and performance purposes. This is a necessary technical cookie that cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality. For details, see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your controls
Because we use only one item of sessionStorage (which is purely technical and cleared when you close your browser tab), there is no cookie banner or consent mechanism needed under ePrivacy rules — this storage is strictly necessary for the service to function.
You can clear sessionStorage at any time through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings. This will only mean you lose the link to your current assessment session if you haven't saved the URL.
Changes to this policy
If we add any new cookies or tracking technologies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, seek your consent before setting them.
